QSNP member Sébastien Tanzilli awarded 2023 EOS fellow prize
20 November 2023Sébastien Tanzilli awarded 2023 EOS fellow prize for his pioneering work on quantum photonics applied to quantum communication and cryptography.
The European Optical Society and the French Optical Society (SFO) organized EOSAM 2023 at the Palais des Congrès de Dijon. The SFO is one of the seventeen national optical societies within the European Optical Society. The conference featured nine topical optical meetings and four focused sessions on hot topics of interest to attendees. Organizers scheduled EU project sessions, early stage researcher sessions, and sessions on industrial mastering of optical technologies and systems to run in parallel in large rooms or the big auditorium to accommodate the over 500 attendees.
To highlight and celebrate people who have contributed to the optics and photonics community, EOS elects fellows each year from the nominated members of the society. In 2023, the new fellows are: Francesco Baldini, Christophe Moser, and Sébastien Tanzilli.
