EU Innovation Radar report on QSNP
25 October 2024As previously informed, QSNP was selected to participate in the Innovation Radar from EU, an initiative by the European Commission to identify high-potential innovations emerging from EU-funded projects. This recognition showcases the innovative work our team is conducting in the field of quantum technologies.
Up to 15 QSNP members and 4 external organizations have been involved in a total of 13 reported innovations. The level and quality of the work reported is simply impressive. Although most of the innovations are still in an early stage of development and a lot of work is still to be done to increase their maturity, we are enthusiasts about the potential impact of the work being developed in QSNP and we expect that several of these innovations will be successfully launched in the near future as the new generation of product applications and breakthroughs to hit the market in the years to come.
Applications related to security, new encryption protocols, hybrid systems PQC-QKD, new quantum random number generators technology, new ways of generating entangled pair of photons sources with new materials, etc. are among the applications where the different stakeholders are working and putting their efforts into at the moment.
We would like to thank all members and stakeholders who participated in the Innovation Radar initiative and encourage all of the members to also share their achievements through this or other available mechanisms in the future. All these represent interesting opportunities to get visibility of QSNP’s results and raise interest among other industrial partners who could take advantage and accelerate the process of converting ideas into market applications.
