QSNP

QSNP is a European Quantum Flagship project that aims to develop quantum cryptography technology to secure the transmission of information over the internet using protocols based on Continuous Variable Quantum Key Distribution (CV-QKD). One of the main objectives of QSNP is to contribute to the European sovereignty in quantum technologies for cybersecurity, protecting the privacy and the sensitive information of European citizens, laying the foundations for Europe’s future quantum communications infrastructure. In a world where cyber-threats are constantly evolving, quantum communication represents both a challenge and an opportunity. Quantum technologies offer innovative solutions that will ensure data integrity and secure communications in an increasingly complex digital environment.

At MWC25, QSNP will present some of the latest innovations in quantum cryptography and quantum key distribution (QKD), key technologies for telecommunications security in the post-quantum era. As one of the initiatives that comprises the Quantum Flasghip, it will share the 100m2 space with other consortium partners from the flagship, Pasquans and QIA, as well as partners from the own consortium, such as Luxquanta and Quside, who will also exhibit how these technologies developed by initiatives such as QSNP can be integrated into existing infrastructures and strengthen the security in critical sectors as telecommunications, banking, hospitals and public administration.

Within this space, QSNP offers the opportunity to interact with experts in quantum communication and cryptography, providing a unique insight into how quantum technologies will transform security in the coming years. In addition, researchers and industry representatives will share their experience in implementing quantum solutions in real-world scenarios.

Quantum-secure Communications – Insights from early-stage Europe’s spin-offs

QSNP will host a special panel on the afternoon of Monday 3 March (15:30h), moderated by Valerio Pruneri (ICREA Professor, ICFO, QSNP coordinator), who will introduce the context of the project. The session will address the development of new quantum protocols beyond QKD, miniaturization of components and systems, and applications and use cases, as well as the main current challenges in quantum communications.

The panel will feature representatives from the new spin-offs QuBO (Austria), Qool-Net (Spain) and Q-Dynamics (Spain), who will discuss the importance of quantum communications in various sectors, the transition from research to industry and long-term strategies for quantum security. They will also address key topics such as integration of quantum channels into classical infrastructure, the challenges of free-space QKD, and cryptographic solutions beyond QKD, such as quantum tokens and quantum money.
